Meet Bob
Bob Rimol, owner and founder of Rimol Greenhouse Systems in Hooksett, NH, has spent part of his life as a New Englander, yet it seems fitting that he was born and raised in New Jersey otherwise known as the “Garden State”. Bob adopted a passion for landscaping and gardening in his younger years. “I was one of the few kids in the neighborhood whose parents never had to ask to do yard work, since I was always outside doing a project anyway! From a young age, I’ve always enjoyed playing in the dirt and having fun with plants” Bob’s passion for gardening and agriculture led him to the University of Vermont where he graduated with a degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics. It is at the University of Vermont where Bob’s interests broadened, learning about both horticulture and agriculture and the issues facing farmers and small businesses in the green industry in both the United States and globally.
After Bob graduated college, he returned to New Jersey working in the family business that was involved in manufacturing and then later for several greenhouse suppliers. In 1994, Bob and his wife, Karen decided to relocate to New England to raise their family and to establish Rimol Greenhouse Systems in the horticulture industry. The founding of Rimol coincided with the birth of Bob and Karen’s 2nd child in 1994. “I always know the anniversary of the business every year when my daughter, Meghan has her birthday.”
As Bob and Karen’s business grew, so did the family. Three decades later, the kids are now grown, and Rimol Greenhouse Systems has developed into a first-class greenhouse manufacturing and distribution company shipping greenhouses all over the United States. When Bob is not working, he enjoys golfing and biking in the warmer months, and skiing in the winter months. Bob’s other passion is volunteering for Londonderry Trailways where he has been actively involved in building and developing a rail trail in his hometown.
